" The test run of our interim newsletter. "
PGK John Reid was an ideal Knight. A worker and a dedicated Catholic Gentleman. I met John in the summer of 2008. The officers and members of the Braintree Council were cleaning the parking lot. It was a warm and sunny day but John made me feel "cooled" because of his welcoming, friendly and kind demeanor.
Instantaneously (at the parking lot), John invited me to join the Council. He gave me form 100 ( I was a member of Fr.Rosensteel Council of Montgomery County, Maryland ) and made my decision to transfer to the Braintree Council that day. I have been looking around for a "Council" since moving to Massachusetts in 2004. It took me four years to decide to transfer. It was the WILL of God I thought. Thanks to PGK John.
I loved being a Knight. I made a lot of friends inside the Order.
I met Blessed Teresa ( Deceased ) in Washington DC because of the Knights of Columbus. I met countless important people ( Pope, Cardinals, Bishops etc. ) of the Catholic Church. I became very close to a number of them. They were my Catholic friends !
I met GK Jim Leahy, Jr the same day I met PGK John....we became instant friends. Both of them are goodlooking but I thought I am the "fairest". I love the sense of humor and wit of GK Jim. PGK John and I "baptized" GK Jim the Lion King. (That year he was a cub and now he claims .....to be a full grown Lion King)
I met a lot of great knights in the Braintree Council. All the Past Grandknights are awesome and great !
My gift to you brother knights....e-newsletter for the Council and pride of our Order !
I felt privileged being a Knight.
